The perspective behind Everest Elevates

A life shaped by perspective, possibility, and purpose.

Gary Mark Lesley's journey has always been guided by one foundational mission: making people safer and enabling growth.

For nearly 30 years, Gary led Head Lites Corporation, a startup born from a simple, powerful idea: increase pedestrian visibility along our roadways and make the world a safer, brighter place. That deep commitment to protecting and empowering others has been the through-line of his career. Today, he brings that same mission to the corporate speaking stage and the consulting boardroom with an elevated voice and decades of hard-won insight.

Beyond Head Lites, Gary's path has spanned from inventor, contractor for the U.S. Marine Corps, receiving two civilian commendations, aviation executive, and bio-tech leader pioneering biomimetic spider silk armor. He's taught as a flight instructor and adjunct professor and now channels that passion for teaching into helping people and organizations navigate their own complex journeys.

His humanitarian work is equally hands-on. Through the Growingdome in the Clouds Foundation, Gary's US-Nepali team is building the first solar-powered, geodesic growing dome for the historic Sir Edmund Hillary School in Nepal, just 12 miles from the base of Mt. Everest. It's a tangible expression of his belief in sustainable nutrition and agriculture for remote, indigenous communities. This work is deeply informed by Gary's anthropological work alongside the mountaineering metaphor of "The Sherpa's Bend," the critical knot that secures climbers together, a philosophy of connection and resilience he applies to building strong, supported teams.

His latest venture, TurtleBack GeoDome Solutions, stands on the shoulders of both the mythic turtle and visionary architect Buckminster Fuller, echoing Bucky's timeless call to achieve more with less. And do it together as one people, all aboard one Spaceship Earth.

At the core of Gary's work are three elements: Change, Choice, and Principles.

"Through 45 marathons, I've learned every meaningful journey begins with a single, directed step… and then repeat!"

He now offers that first step to organizations, sharing a lifetime of wisdom to help others find their own path to the summit.

It's not easy. And it's also not complicated. Your principles are your paths. Know them.
